Buy Austin
Check
out: VU- Austin
One of the goals of VU/Austin is to establish a Visual Arts
District in Austin, with galleries and wall-space, a place
for meetings, and ample studio space. Another is to encourage
Austin art lovers to "Buy Austin." AVAA's Kay
Martin explained, "I live in Austin and I buy Dell
computers. We want people in Austin to look for their art
locally instead of traveling to Santa Fe and the like. There
is a vast array of artists here, and much of their work
is of national importance."
