With this painting, I explored a different technique in application of the paint. There is more underpainting with light scumbling brushwork over top. The image is that of a clown with a red striped, fur lined cone hat. He reaches awkwardly with a white gloved hand to cover his greenish, saddened face with a small white board bearing smiling red lips. His other hand removes a full face red mask that looks both angry and pained. The background is a dark horizon against a deep blue night sky.
